In 2020, the import quota for salt is 110,000 tons
On January 22, 2020, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issues the Circular No. 02/2020/TT-BCT prescribing the principle of administering the import of salt and birds’ eggs under the 2020 tariff quotas.
Accordingly, volumes of the 2020 import tariff quotas shall be specified as follows:
Firstly, fowls’ egg (code: 0407.21.00 and 0407.90.10); ducks’ egg (code: 0407.29.10 and 0407.90.20); other (coed: 0407.29.90 and 0407.90.90): 57,940 dozens (unfertilized eggs).
Secondly, salt (code: 2501): 110,000 tons.
Within that, the allocation of import tariff quotas for salt and birds’ eggs must comply with the Circular No. 12/2018/TT-BCT and the Decree No. 69/2018/ND-CP. Import tariff quotas for salt shall be allocated to traders for direct use as materials for production of chemicals and drugs and medical products.
Besides, import tariff quotas for birds’ egg shall be allocated to traders who possess a business registration certificate or enterprise registration certificate and wish to import birds’ eggs.
This Circular takes effect on February 29, 2020.
