SUMMARY

Principles of regulation of import tariff quotas for salt and poultry eggs in 2019

The Ministry of Industry and Trade issues the Circular No. 04/2019/TT-BCT prescribing principles of regulation of import tariff quotas for salt and poultry eggs in 2019 on March 04, 2019.

Accordingly, the allocation of import tariff quotas for salt and poultry eggs must comply with the Minister of Industry and Trade’s Circular No. 12/2018/TT-BCT of June 15, 2018, detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management, and the Government’s Decree No. 69/2018/ND-CP of May 15, 2018, detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management. Subjects eligible for import tariff quota allocation

Salt: Import tariff quotas for salt shall be allocated to traders that directly use salt as a material for manufacturing chemicals, medicines and medical products.

Poultry eggs: Import tariff quotas for poultry eggs shall be allocated to traders that possess business registration certificates/enterprise registration certificates and wish to import poultry eggs.

This Circular takes effect from April 17, 2019, through December 31, 2019.

CIRCULAR

Prescribing principles of regulation of import tariff quotas for salt and poultry eggs in 2019[1]

 

Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 98/2017/ND-CP of August 18, 2017, defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Industry and Trade;

Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 69/2018/ND-CP of May 15, 2018, detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management;

At the proposal of the Director General of the Agency of Foreign Trade,

The Minister of Industry and Trade promulgates the Circular prescribing principles of regulation of import tariff quotas for salt and poultry eggs in 2019.

Article 2.Principles of regulation

1. Principles of import tariff quota allocation

The allocation of import tariff quotas for salt and poultry eggs must comply with the Minister of Industry and Trade’s Circular No. 12/2018/TT-BCT of June 15, 2018, detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management, and the Government’s Decree No. 69/2018/ND-CP of May 15, 2018, detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management.

2. Subjects eligible for import tariff quota allocation

Salt: Import tariff quotas for salt shall be allocated to traders that directly use salt as a material for manufacturing chemicals, medicines and medical products.

Poultry eggs: Import tariff quotas for poultry eggs shall be allocated to traders that possess business registration certificates/enterprise registration certificates and wish to import poultry eggs.

3. Time for allocation of import tariff quotas for salt

The time for allocation of import tariff quotas for salt shall be proposed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development so as not to affect salt production and sale of salt producers and to meet the demands of other economic sectors.

Article 3.Effect

This Circular takes effect from April 17, 2019, through December 31, 2019.-
