THE MINISTRY OF LABOR, WAR INVALIDS AND SOCIAL AFFAIRS
Notice No. 5427/TB-LDTBXH dated December 22, 2017 of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on regarding 2018's national and Tet holidays of public officers, servants and employees of public administrative bodies, public sector entities, political institutions and socio-political organizations
Following the conclusion of the Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc in the Notice No. 573/TB-VPVP dated December 14, 2017 of the Government Office regarding 2018's national and Tet holidays of public officers and servants, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs hereby informs public administrative bodies, public sector entities, political institutions and socio-political organizations (hereinafter referred to as public entities) that their public officers, servants and employees (hereinafter referred to as public staff) will be entitled to 2018’s national and Tet holidays specified as follows:
1. Lunar New Year Tet holidays:
Public staff shall be entitled to a period of 07 consecutive days-off that extends from the beginning of Wednesday, February 14, 2018 to the end of Tuesday, February 20, 2018 (equivalent to the lunar period extending from the beginning of the 29th day of the Last month of the Fire Rooster lunar year to the end of the 5th day of the First month of the Earth Dog lunar year).
As February 17, 2018 and February 18, 2018 (corresponding to the 2nd and 3rd day of the Lunar New Year Tet holidays), fall on Saturday and Sunday respectively which are automatic days-off every week, they shall be entitled to take compensatory days-off falling on February 19, 2018 and February 20, 2018 (equivalent to the 4th and 5th day of the Lunar New Year Tet holidays).
2. National Independence holidays:
Public staff shall be entitled to a period of 03 consecutive days-off that extends from the beginning of Saturday, September 1, 2018 to the end of Monday, September 3, 2018.
As the 2018’s Independence Day (September 2, 2018) falls on Sunday which is an automatic day-off every week, they shall be entitled to take a compensatory day-off on Monday, September 3, 2018.
3. Any public entity that follows the abovementioned time-off schedule shall be required to properly assign its personnel to ensure uninterrupted and effective services as usual for other entities and individuals.
Any public entity that does not take automatic days-off on Saturday and Sunday every week shall depend on its particular working plan and agenda to set an appropriate time-off schedule of their own.
The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs is expecting that this notice would help intended entities, organizations and individuals in making their work arrangements./.
