Official Dispatch 2450/VPCP-KGVX 2024 proposal to swap working days for holidays of Reunification Day and International Workers’ Day

To: Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

In consideration of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs at Document No. 1511/LDTBXH-CATLD dated April 11, 2024, regarding the proposal to swap working days for holidays during the upcoming holidays of April 30 (Reunification Day) and May 1 (International Workers’ Day) in 2024, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh gives the following opinions:

1. To agree with the proposal in the above document of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs on swapping working days for holidays during the upcoming holidays of April 30 (Reunification Day) and May 1 (International Workers’ Day) in 2024.

Agencies and units implementing the above holiday schedule shall arrange appropriately working departments to handle continuously works; ensure good service to organizations, citizens. It is worth noting that the above agencies and units shall pay attention to assigning officers and civil servants to handle sudden and unexpected works that may occur.

2. To authorize the Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to announce the swap and holidays of April 30 (Reunification Day) and May 1 (International Workers’ Day) in 2024 to agencies, units, enterprises and workers.

The Government Office hereby informs the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and ministries, agencies for implementation./.
