Notice 1570/TB-BLDTBXH 2024 proposal to swap working days for Reunification Day for cadres

NOTICE

Regarding the proposal to swap working days for holidays during the upcoming holidays of April 30 (Reunification Day) and May 1 (International Workers’ Day) in 2024 for cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees of state administrative agencies, public non-business units and enterprises

Implementing the directions of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in the Government Office’s Official Dispatch No. 2450/VPCP-KGVX dated April 12, 2024, regarding the proposal to swap working days for holidays during the upcoming holidays of April 30 (Reunification Day) and May 1 (International Workers’ Day) in 2024, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs notifies to state administrative agencies, public non-business units and enterprises to implement the schedule for swapping working days as follows:

1. Cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees of state administrative agencies, public non-business units (hereinafter referred to as cadres, civil servants) shall be allowed to swap working days from Monday (April 29, 2024) to Saturday (May 4, 2024). Therefore, on the holidays of April 30 (Reunification Day) and May 1 (International Workers’ Day) in 2024, cadres, civil servants will have 5 consecutive days off from Saturday, April 27, 2024, to Wednesday, May 01, 2024, (the compensatory working day on Saturday, May 4, 2024).

2. Agencies and units implementing the above holiday schedule shall arrange appropriately working departments to handle continuously works; ensure good service to organizations, citizens. Agencies and units that do not regulate a fixed holiday schedule on Saturdays and Sundays every week, shall arrange a suitable holiday schedule based on their specific programs and plans as prescribed by laws.

3. Employers at enterprises are encouraged to apply the same holiday schedule of April 30 (Reunification Day) and May 1 (International Workers’ Day) in 2024, for employees as that applicable to cadres, civil servants but must ensure full implementation of regimes for employees as prescribed by laws; and beneficial agreements for employees are encouraged.
