DECREE
ON ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE OF THE GENERAL DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government of September 30, 1992;
Pursuant to Decree No.20-CP of December 27, 1992 of the Government providing for the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the General Department of Tourism;
At the proposals of the General Director of the General Department of Tourism and the Minister-Chairman of the Government Commission on Organization and Personnel,
DECREES:
Article 1.- To provide for the organizational structure of the General Department of Tourism, as follows:
a/ The units to assist the General Director in exercising the State management function:
- The Department of Planning and Investment
- The Department of Traveling
- The Department of Hotel
- The Department of International Cooperation
- The Department of Organization and Personnel
- The General Department's Inspectorate
- The Office of the General Department (with representatives in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang City).
b/ The non-business units attached to the General Department:
- The Institute of Tourist Research and Development
- The Center for Tourist Information Technology
- The Tourism Magazine.
The establishment of tourist schools in Hanoi and Vung Tau shall be decided by the General Director of the General Department of Tourism (with the consent of the Minister-Chairman of the Government Commission on Organization and Personnel and the Minister of Education and Training) on the basis of the existing Vietnam Tourist School and Vung Tau Tourist-Service School of the oil and gas industry. The functions, tasks and organizational structure of the units mentioned in Article 1 shall be determined by the General Director of the General Department of Tourism.
Article 2.- This Decree takes effect from the date of its signing for promulgation. The earlier regulations which are contrary to this Decree are now annulled.
Article 3.- The General Director of the General Department of Tourism, the Ministers, the Heads of the ministerial-level agencies, the Heads of the agencies attached to the Government, the Presidents of the People's Committees of the provinces and cities directly under the Central Government shall have to implement this Decree.
