NOTICE
On adjustment of pension, social insurance allowance
and monthly allowance levels under Decree No. 42/2023/ND-CP
On June 29, 2023, the Government promulgates the Decree No. 42/2023/ND-CP on adjustment of pension, social insurance allowance and monthly allowance levels that takes effect on August 14, 2023. The adjustment shall be implemented in July 01, 2023. Therefore, social insurance agencies shall pay pension and social insurance allowance of July and August of 2023 according to the payment level of June 2023. The payment according to the new level and the payment of the additional difference of July 2023 and August 2023 to the beneficiaries will be made in the payment period of September 2023.
According to the Decree No. 42, the adjustment levels of pension, social insurance allowance and monthly allowance shall be as follows:
- The pension, social insurance allowance and monthly allowance will increase by 12.5% compared to those of June 2023, for persons specified in this Decree who have the pension, social insurance allowance or monthly allowance adjusted under the Government’s Decree No. 108/2021/ND-CP of December 07, 2021, on adjustment of pension, social insurance allowance and monthly allowance levels.
- The pension, social insurance allowance and monthly allowance will increase by 20.8% compared to those of June 2023 for persons specified in this Decree who have the pension, social insurance allowance or monthly allowance not yet adjusted under the Decree No. 108/2021/ND-CP.
For persons who are entitled to pension, social insurance allowance or monthly allowance under Clause 2 Article 1 of this Decree, after the pension, social insurance allowance and monthly allowance are adjusted under the above-mentioned provisions, any current level of under VND 3,000,000/month will:
- Increase by VND 300,000/person/month, for those entitled to under VND 2,700,000/month.
- Increase to VND 3,000,000/person/month, for those entitled to between VND 2,700,000/month and under VND 3,000,000/month.
The Ho Chi Minh City Social Security informs the persons entitled to pension, social insurance allowance about such adjustment./.
