On adjustments to the 2024 law- and ordinance-making program

THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY STANDING COMMITTEE

Pursuant to the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam;

Pursuant to Law No. 57/2014/QH13 on Organization of the National Assembly which has a number of articles amended and supplemented under Law No. 65/2020/QH14;

Pursuant to Law No. 80/2015/QH13 on Promulgation of Legal Documents which has a number of articles amended and supplemented under Law No. 63/2020/QH14;

On the basis of considering the Government’s Reports No. 352/TTr-CP of July 5, 2024 and No. 362/TTr-CP of July 8, 2024, and the Committee on Legal Affairs’ Verification Report No. 3207/BC-UBPL15 of July 22, 2024,

RESOLVES:

Article 1. To adjust the 2024 law- and ordinance-making program

To add the following draft laws to the 2024 law- and ordinance-making program with fundamental policies proposed by the Government:

1. The draft Law Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People’s Army, to be submitted to the National Assembly for discussion and passage at its 8^th session (October 2024) according to the single-session and fast-track procedures;

2. The draft Data Law, to be submitted to the National Assembly for discussion at its 8^th session (October 2024) and passage at its 9^th session (May 2025)

Article 2. Organization of implementation

To assign draft-proposing agencies, agencies in charge of verification, agencies participating in verification, and schedule of submission to the National Assembly Standing Committee to consider and discuss draft laws that are added to the 2024 law- and ordinance-making program as follows:

Article 3. Effect

This Resolution takes effect on the date of its adoption.

This Resolution was adopted on July 23, 2024, by the Standing Committee of the 15^th National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.-
