DIRECTIVE
On enhancing the prevention and control of acute respiratory infections caused by new strains of novel Coronavirus
On implementing the Directive No. 01/CT-BTC dated January 01, 2020 of the Ministry of Finance on enhancing the prevention and control of acute respiratory infections caused by new strains of novel Coronavirus, the Director of the Customs Department of Ho Chi Minh City requires affiliated units as follow:
1. The heads of units shall grasp thoroughly to all staff in unit of the content in the Official Notice No. 121/CD-TTg dated January 23, 2020, the Directive No. 05/CT-TTg date January 28, 2020 of the Prime Minister and the Directive No. 01/CT-BTC dated January 28, 2020 of the Ministry of Finance on the prevention and control of acute respiratory infections caused by new strains of novel Coronavirus.
2. To strengthen the organization of strict control and supervision at border gates for people and means of transport originating from countries with acute respiratory infections caused by new strains of corona virus. Not to carry out customs clearance procedure for flights from Vietnam to the endemic areas of China and flights from the endemic regions to Vietnam as the direction of the Prime Minister prescribed in point 4 and point 5 of the Directive No. 05/CT-TTg dated January 28, 2020.
3. For animals and food products processed from animals imported from China, they must be strictly controlled at border gates; customs clearance shall only allowed after obtaining quarantine certificates or food safety issued by agencies certifying such products satisfy the import criteria; to enhance the prevention of smuggling, to promptly detect, prevent and strictly handle cases of entry and illegal transport of wildlife animal in the localities under the management scope.
4. To coordinate with medical inspection agencies in the border areas to closely inspect and control passengers and luggage from countries and territories that have warned about the reported cases of Corona viruses infection. In case of detecting or suspecting infection, such cases shall be hand over to the medical agency for handling according in accordance with regulations.
5. To coordinate with disease prevention and control units of the Government, the Ministry of Health and the People s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to supervise and strictly implement the contents of the Directive of the Government, the Ministry of Finance and the General Department Customs.
6. Create favorable conditions for quick and proper clearance of goods, machinery, equipment, support tools, pharmaceuticals for the prevention and treatment of acute respiratory infections caused by new strains of Corona virus.
7. Cadres and civil servants on duty in areas with passengers on exit and entry, import and export goods must strictly comply with the regulations on disease prevention.
8. Office of Finance - Administration coordinates with units to equip standard tools, vehicles, masks for disease prevention for officials and employees directly carry out customs procedures in contact with people and goods (department of receiving declarations, physical inspection of goods, teams of export luggage and imported luggage, etc.)
The Director of the Customs Department of Ho Chi Minh City requires the units to strictly implement the above contents./.
