THE GOVERNMENT

Decree No. 50/2011/ND-CP dated June 24, 2011 of the Government amending the Decree No. 187/2007/ND-CP dated December 25, 2007 of the Government defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Information and Communications

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of Government on December 25, 2011;

Pursuant to the Law on Telecommunications dated November 23, 2009;

Pursuant to the Decree No. 178/2007/ND-CP dated December 03, 2007 of the Government defining the functions, tasks and organizational structures of Ministries and Ministerial-level agencies;

At the proposal of the Minister of Information and Communications,

DECREES:

Article 1. Amends the Article 3 of the Decree No. 187/2007/ND-CP dated dated December 25, 2007 of the Government defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Information and Communications as following:

“Article 3. Organizational structure of the Ministry

1. The Post Department.

2. The Information Technology Department.

3. The Science and Technology Department.

4. The Planning-Finance Department.

5. The International Cooperation Department

6. The Legal Department.

7. The Organization and Personnel Department.

8. The Inspectorate.

9. The Office.

10. The Telecommunications Department.

11. The Radio Frequency Department.

12. The Information Technology Application Department.

13. The Press Department.

14. The Publishing Department.

15. The Radio, Television and Electronic Informal ion Management Department.

16. The Foreign-Service Information Department

17. The Ministrys representative office in Ho Chi Minh City.

18. The Ministrys representative office in Da Nang city.

19. The Information and Communication Strategy Institute.

20. The Vietnam Internet Center.

21. The Information Center.

22. The Information and Communication Technology Magazine.

23. The Vietnam Post Newspaper.

24. The Press and International Communication Cooperation Center.

25. The Information and Communication Managers Training School.

The units defined in Clause 1 thru Clause 18 of this Article are organizations assisting the Minister in performing the state management function; the units defined in Clause 19 thru Clause 25 of this Article are non-business organizations of the Ministry.

The Organization and Personnel; Planning-Finance; and Science and Technology Departments may organize sections.

The Minister of Information and Communication shall submit to the Prime Minister for promulgation a list of other non-business units, state finance organizations and press agencies attached to the Ministry.

Article 2. Implementation effect

This Decree takes effect on August 15, 2011.

Article 3. Implementation responsibility

Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, heads of government-attached agencies and presidents of provincial/municipal Peoples Committees shall implement this Decree.
