Decree No. 18/2011/ND-CP dated March 17, 2011 of the Government amending Clause 6, Article 2 of the Government's Decree No. 20/ 2010/ND-CP of March 8, 2010, detailing the Ordinance Amending Article 10 of the Population Ordinance

Decree No. 18/2011/ND-CP  of March 17, 2011, amending Clause 6, Article 2 of the Government's Decree No. 20/ 2010/ND-CP of March 8, 2010, detailing the Ordinance Amending Article 10 of the Population Ordinance

Pursuant to the December 25, 2001 Law on Organization of the Government;

Pursuant to Ordinance Amending Article 10 of the December 27. 2008 Population Ordinance;

At the proposal of the Minister of Health,

DECREES:

Article I. To amend Clause 6. Article 2 of the Government's Decree No. 20/2010/ND-CP of March S. 2010. detailing the Ordinance Amending Article 10 of the Population Ordinance, as follows:

"6. For a couple who already have their own children:

a/ They may have between them one child or two children, if either of them already has his/her own child (children);

b/ They may have between them one child or two children or more in the same birth, if both of them already have their own children. This provision is not applicable to a couple having two or more common children who are currently alive."

Article 2. This Decree takes effect on May 12.2011.

Article 3. Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, heads of government-attached agencies, chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces or centrally run cities and concerned couples and individuals shall implement this Decree.-
