DECISION

AMENDING A NUMBER OF POINTS IN DECISION No.58-TTg ON THE 3RD OF FEBRUARY 1994 ON THE ORGANIZATION, POLICIES AND REGULATIONS REGARDING THE GRASSROOTS MEDICAL UNITS.

THE PRIME MINISTER

In execution of the Resolution of the 4th Plenum of the Central Committee of the Party (Seventh Congress) on urgent matters in public health care and protection;

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government on the 30th of September, 1992;

At the proposals of the Minister of Health, the Minister-Chairman of the Government Commission on Organization and Personnel, the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs,

DECIDES:

Article 1.- To replace Point 2, Article 3 Decision No.58-TTg issued on the 3rd of February, 1994 on the organization, policies and regulations regarding the grassroots medial units by the following new regulation:

The grassroots medical workers stipulated in Points a, b, Item 1, Article 2 in Decision No.58-TTg, who are not on the State payroll, shall enjoy all the interests and coefficients of payroll applied to the State medical workers of equivalent professional standard, as stipulated in Decree No.25-CP on the 25th of May, 1993 of the Government.

Article 2.- To add the following to Item 3, Article 3 in Decision No.58-TTg:

The specialized medical workers at the grassroots units in highland, border and island communes shall be included on the State payroll.

Article 3.- This Decision takes effect from the date of its signing.

Article 4.- The Minister of Finance, the Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Minister Chairman of the Government Commission on Organization and Personnel shall guide the implementation of this Decision.

Article 5.- The Ministers, the Heads of the ministerial level agencies, the Heads of the agencies attached to the Government, and the Presidents of the People's Committees of provinces and cities directly under the Central Government shall have to implement this Decision.
