SUMMARY

Sign the Agreement on the Transfer of Sentenced Persons between Vietnam and Italy

Decision No. 1178/QD-CTN on the signing of the Agreement on the Transfer of Sentenced Persons between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Republic of Italy is issued on October 18, 2022 by the President.

Accordingly, to permit the signing of the Agreement on the Transfer of Sentenced Persons between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Republic of Italy. General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, is authorized to sign the Agreement on behalf of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The Minister of Foreign Affairs is assigned to complete the diplomatic procedures for authorization according to regulations.

This Decision takes effect on the date of its signing.

DECISION

On the signing of the Agreement on the Transfer of Sentenced Persons between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Republic of Italy^{^[1]}

THE PRESIDE NT OF THE SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM

Pursuant to Articles 88 and 91 of the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam;

Pursuant to the 2016 Law on Treaties;

At the proposal of the Government in Report No. 354/TTr-CP of September 29, 2022,

DECIDES:

Article 1. To permit the signing of the Agreement on the Transfer of Sentenced Persons between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Republic of Italy.

Article 2. To authorize General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, to sign the Agreement on behalf of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

To assign the Minister of Foreign Affairs to complete the diplomatic procedures for authorization according to regulations.

Article 3. This Decision takes effect on the date of its signing.

The Government, Prime Minister, and Chairperson of the Office of the President shall implement this Decision.-
