Decree 41/2023/ND-CP registration fee rates for automobiles, trailers or semi-trailers pulled by automobiles

DECREE

Prescribing registration fee rates applicable to domestically manufactured and assembled automobiles, trailers or semi-trailers pulled by automobiles, and vehicles similar to automobiles^[1]

Pursuant to the June 19, 2015 Law on Organization of the Government; and the November 22, 2019 Law Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Law on Organization of the Government and the Law on Organization of Local Administration;

Pursuant to the November 25, 2015 Law on Charges and Fees;

At the proposal of the Minister of Finance;

The Government promulgates the Decree prescribing registration fee rates applicable to domestically manufactured and assembled automobiles, trailers or semi-trailers pulled by automobiles and vehicles similar to automobiles.

Article 1. Fee rates applicable to domestically manufactured and assembled automobiles, trailers or semi-trailers pulled by automobiles, and vehicles similar to automobiles upon first-time registration

1. From the effective date of this Decree through December 31, 2023: The registration fee rates are equal to 50% of those prescribed in the Government’s Decree No. 10/2022/ND-CP of January 15, 2022, on registration fee; current resolutions of People’s Councils or decisions of People’s Committees of provinces and centrally run cities on registration fee rates applied in their localities; and amending, supplementing or replacing documents (if any).

2. From January 1, 2024, onward: The registration fee rates shall further comply with the Government’s Decree No. 10/2022/ND-CP of January 15, 2022, on registration fee; current resolutions of People’s Councils or decisions of People’s Committees of provinces and centrally run cities on registration fee rates applied in their localities; and amending, supplementing or replacing documents (if any).

Article 2. Effect

1. This Decree takes effect from July 1, 2023, through December 31, 2023.

2. Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, heads of government-attached agencies, chairpersons of provincial-level People’s Committees, and related organizations and individuals shall implement this Decree.-
