Extend the goods storage duration at duty-free shops
On December 08, 2021, the National Assembly Standing Committee issues the Resolution No. 10/2021/UBTVQH15 on extension of goods storage duration at duty-free shops, warehouses of duty-free traders, goods stored in bonded warehouses to meet COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control requirements.
Accordingly, goods stored at duty-free shops, warehouses of duty-free traders, goods stored in bonded warehouses, of which the storage duration have expired, including the extension period as prescribed in Articles 47 and 61 of the Law on Customs, arising from April 1, 2020 under the Decision No. 447 /QD-TTg dated April 1, 2020 until the date the competent person announces the end of the COVID-19 epidemic nationwide, shall continue to be stored no longer than 12 months after the date of announcement of the end of the epidemic.
Based on the COVID-19 pandemic development, socio-economic development conditions and requirements of the state management, the Minister of Finance shall decide to terminate the application of the extension of goods storage duration at duty-free shops, warehouses of duty-free traders, goods stored in bonded warehouses before the expiration of the specified duration.
This Resolution takes effect on December 08, 2021.
