THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Official Dispatch No. 2229/BNN-KHCN dated August 04, 2011 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on supporting expenses of implementing the project “Cultivating rice for reducing greenhouse emission”

To: People’s Committee of An Giang province

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is very welcome People’s Committee of An Giang province for implementing the project “Cultivating rice for reducing greenhouse emission” from 2010 and suggest the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to support expenses for project implementation in the 2012 – 2013 period at the Document No. 2121/UBND-KT dated July 15, 2011 of the People’s Committee of An Giang province. However, the project expense is so large and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development now does not have any expense for research on climate change for further support to People’s Committee of An Giang province.

At this moment, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is building the Scheme “Reduce greenhouse emission in Vietnam agriculture to 2020” and will fine expense sources for the implementation, if there is any expense source, especially from the sources of international corporation, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will announce to People’s Committee relating to above project./.
