Following Official Dispatch No. 5077/LS-QHLS dated December 30, 2022, on policies for epidemic prevention and control of China, the Consular Department has the following opinions:
Chinese Embassy has sent a Diplomatic note of January 16, 2023 to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which notifies that from January 17, 2023, persons entering China must have a negative PCR test certificate issued within 48 hours before departure (such a certificate must clearly state the name, date of birth and serial number of the certificate holder’s personal papers). In case of using electronic PCR test certificates, such certificates must be printed and brought along with the persons on entry. Languages used in such certificates must be Vietnamese, Chinese or English. The use of face masks during the flight is required.
Airlines organizing flights to China shall check the passengers’ negative PCR test certificates, and Chinese customs offices shall conduct on-site inspection upon the passengers’ entry, depending on the situation.
