THE STATE BANK OF VIETNAM
Notice No. 293/TB-NHNN of September 28, 2012, on the termination of circulation of cotton-fiber banknotes of denominations of VND 10,000 and 20,000
In furtherance of the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 1285/QD-TTg of September 17, 2012, the State Bank of Vietnam makes the following announcement:
1. From January 1, 2013, the cotton-fiber banknotes of denominations of VND 10,000 and 20,000 will no longer be valid for circulation in the territory of Vietnam.
2. From this date (January 1, 2013), organizations and individuals having banknotes of these denominations may change them into the currently circulated banknotes of equivalent value issued by the State Bank of Vietnam at provincial-level State Bank transaction bureaus and branches, credit institutions, foreign bank branches and State Treasure offices.
The State Bank of Vietnam’s above announcement is for organizations and individuals to know and implement.-
