The List of livestock breeds that need to be imported

On December 12, 2023, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development issues Circular No. 14/2023/TT-BNNPTNT promulgating the List of livestock breeds that need to be imported.

1. The List of livestock breeds that need to be imported including:

- Fighting chickens (foreign fighting chicken breeds) (Gallus gallus domesticus), except fighting chicken breeds specified in Circular No. 01/2023/TT-BKHDT;

- Foreign pigeon (Columba livia domestica);

- Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss);

- European eel (Anguilla anguilla); Flower eel (Anguilla marmorata); Ebony eel (Anguilla bicolor); Japanese eel (Anguilla japonica); Anguilla borneensis (Anguilla borneensis);

- Beluga sturgeon (Huso huso);

- Blue-spotted/White grouper/Small-spotted grouper (Plectropomus leopardus);

- Brown-flowered grouper/tiger grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus);

- Humpback grouper (Cromileptes altivelis);

- Areolate grouper (Epinephelus areolatus); Flat grouper (Duskytail bleekeri); Giant grouper (Epinephelus lanceolatus); Spotted coralgrouper (Plectropomus maculatus);...

2. The import of livestock breeds and aquatic breeds must comply with the Law on Animal Husbandry, the Law on Fisheries and relevant legal documents.

This Circular takes effect on February 2, 2024.

CIRCULAR

Promulgating the List of livestock breeds that need to be imported[1]

Pursuant to the April 6, 2016 Law on Import Duty and Export Duty;

Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 134/2016/ND-CP of September 1, 2016, detailing a number of articles of, and measures to implement, the Law on Import Duty and Export Duty;

Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 18/2021/ND-CP of March 11, 2021, amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Government’s Decree No. 134/2016/ND-CP of September 1, 2016, detailing a number of articles of, and measures to implement, the Law on Import Duty and Export Duty;

Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 105/2022/ND-CP of December 22, 2022, defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;

At the proposal of the Director of the Legal Department, Director of the Department of Livestock Production, and Director of the Directorate of Fisheries;

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development issues the Circular promulgating the List of livestock breeds that need to be imported.

 

Article 1. Promulgated together with this Circular is the List of livestock breeds (including the livestock breeds specified in the Law on Animal Husbandry and the aquatic breeds specified in the Law on Fisheries) that need to be imported under Clause 12, Article 16 of Law No. 107/2016/QH13 on Import Duty and Export Duty, Article 18, and Clause 4, Article 40, the Government’s Decree No. 134/2016/ND-CP of September 1, 2016, detailing a number of articles of, and measures to implement, the Law on Import Duty and Export Duty.

Article 2. The import of livestock breeds and aquatic breeds must comply with the Law on Animal Husbandry, the Law on Fisheries and relevant legal documents.

Article 3. This Circular takes effect on February 2, 2024.-
