DECISION

Approving the Plan on the abolishment or simplification of regulations related to business activities falling within the scope of management by the Ministry of Science and Technology^[1]

THE PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the June 19, 2015 Law on Organization of the Government; and the November 22, 2019 Law Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Law on Organization of the Government and the Law on Organization of Local Administration;

Pursuant to the Government’s Resolution No. 68/NQ-CP of May 12, 2020, promulgating the Program on the abolishment or simplification of regulations related to business activities in the 2020-2025 period;

At the proposal of the Minister of Science and Technology,

DECIDES:

Article 1. To approve the Plan on the abolishment or simplification of regulations related to business activities falling within the scope of state management by the Ministry of Science and Technology (below referred to as the Plan) together with this Decision.

Article 2. To assign the Ministry of Science and Technology and related ministries and sectors to implement the contents and deadlines specified in the Plan approved by the Prime Minister under Article 1 of this Decision.

In the course of organizing the implementation of the Plan, the Ministry of Science and Technology shall proactively detect and promptly amend, supplement or replace, or annul or cancel, relevant regulations falling within its competence or submit them to competent authorities for consideration and decision, for the National Assembly’s laws, the Government’s decrees and the Prime Minister’s decisions containing provisions related to business activities that need to be amended, supplemented or replaced, or annulled or canceled, in order to implement the Plan approved by the Prime Minister under Article 1 of this Decision.

Article 3. The Government Office shall examine and urge the implementation of the Plan and summarize problems confronting the Ministry of Science and Technology and related ministries, sectors and localities during the implementation of the Plan approved by the Prime Minister under Article 1 of this Decision for solution.

Article 4. This Decision takes effect on the date of its signing.

Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, heads of government-attached agencies, chairpersons of provincial-level People’s Committees and related agencies shall implement this Decision.-
