DECREE
Prescribing registration fee rates for automobiles, trailers or semi-trailers pulled by automobiles and vehicles like domestically manufactured and assembled automobiles[1]
Pursuant to the June 19, 2015 Law on Organization of the Government; and the November 22, 2019 Law Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Law on Organization of the Government and the Law on Organization of Local Administration;
Pursuant to the November 25, 2015 Law on Charges and Fees;
At the proposal of the Minister of Finance;
The Government promulgates the Decree prescribing registration fee rates for automobiles, trailers or semi-trailers pulled by automobiles and vehicles like domestically manufactured and assembled automobiles.
Article 1. First-time registration fee rates for automobiles, trailers or semi-trailers pulled by automobiles and vehicles like domestically manufactured and assembled automobiles
1. From December 1, 2021, through May 31, 2022: The registration fee rates are equal to 50% of those prescribed in the Government’s Decree No. 20/2019/ND-CP of February 21, 2019, amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Government’s Decree No. 140/2016/ND-CP of October 10, 2016, on registration fee; current resolutions of People’s Councils or decisions of provincial-level People’s Committees on registration fee rates applied in localities; and amending, supplementing or replacing documents (if any).
2. From June 1, 2022, onward: The registration fee rates must continue to comply with the Government’s Decree No. 20/2019/ND-CP of February 21, 2019, amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Government’s Decree No. 140/2016/ND-CP of October 10, 2016, on registration fee; current resolutions of People’s Councils or decisions of provincial-level People’s Committees on registration fee rates applied in localities; and amending, supplementing or replacing documents (if any).
Article 2. Effect
1. This Decree takes effect from December 1, 2021, through May 31, 2022.
2. Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, heads of government-attached agencies, chairpersons of provincial-level People’s Committees, and related organizations and individuals shall implement this Decree.-
