PROMULGATING LISTS OF INSECTICIDAL AND BACTERICIDAL CHEMICALS AND PREPARATIONS PERMITTED FOR REGISTRATION FOR, PERMITTED FOR REGISTRATION BUT RESTRICTED OR BANNED FROM, DOMESTIC AND MEDICAL USE IN VIETNAM IN 2000
THE MINISTER OF HEALTH
Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No.68/CP of October 11, 1993 defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;
Pursuant to the Prime Minister’s Decision No.197/1998/QD-TTg of October 10, 1998 assigning the Ministry of Health to exercise the State management over insecticidal and bactericidal chemicals and preparations for domestic and medical use;
Pursuant to the Health Minister’s Decision No.1654/1999/QD-BYT of May 29, 1999 promulgating the Regulation on the management of insecticidal and bactericidal chemicals and preparations for domestic and medical use;
At the proposal of the director of the Prophylactic Medicine Department under the Ministry of Health,
Pursuant to the Prime Minister’s Decision No.197/1998/QD-TTg of October 10, 1998 assigning the Ministry of Health to exercise the State management over insecticidal and bactericidal chemicals and preparations for domestic and medical use;
Pursuant to the Health Minister’s Decision No.1654/1999/QD-BYT of May 29, 1999 promulgating the Regulation on the management of insecticidal and bactericidal chemicals and preparations for domestic and medical use;
At the proposal of the director of the Prophylactic Medicine Department under the Ministry of Health,
DECIDES:
Article 1.- To promulgate together with this Decision lists of insecticidal and bactericidal chemicals and preparations permitted for registration for, permitted for registration but restricted or banned from, domestic and medical use in 2000, including:
1. The list of insecticidal chemicals and preparations permitted for registration for domestic and medical use (Table 1), which includes 24 chemicals with 81 trade names.
2. The list of insecticidal chemicals and preparations permitted for registration but restricted from domestic and medical use (Table 2), which includes 8 chemicals.
3. The list of insecticidal chemicals and preparations banned from domestic and medical use (Table 3), which includes 17 chemicals with 84 trade names.
4. The list of bactericidal chemicals and preparations permitted for registration for domestic and medical use (Table 4), which includes 17 chemicals with 29 trade names.
Article 2.- For those chemicals and preparations not stipulated in Article 1 of this Decision, the Ministry of Health shall consider and permit the registration of their use on the case-by-case basis.
Article 3.- This Decision takes effect 15 days after its signing.
Article 4.- The director of the Office, the chief inspector, the director of the Prophylactic Medicine Department of the Health Ministry; the heads of the concerned units; the domestic and foreign organizations and individuals that produce, trade in and use insecticidal and bactericidal chemicals and preparations for domestic and medical use shall have to implement this Decision.
