DECISION

On changing the former National Route 8’s section from Km9+300 to Km10+070 in Ha Tinh province to the local road

THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORT

Pursuant to the Law No. 23/2008/QH12 dated November 13, 2008 on Road Traffic;

Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 12/2017/ND-CP dated February 10, 2017 defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport;

Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 11/2010/ND-CP dated February 24, 2010 prescribing the management and protection of road infrastructure facilities;

Considering the proposal of the People’s Committee of Ha Tinh province stated in the Document No. 2166/UBND-GT1 dated April 29, 2022 on changing the former National Route 8’s section Km9+300 - Km10+070 through Duc Trung commune, Duc Tho district to the local road; Report of the Directorate for Roads of Vietnam in the Document No. 1021/TCDBVN-QLBTDB dated February 23, 2022;

At the proposal of the Director of the Transport Infrastructure Department,

DECIDES:

Article 1. Changing the section from Km9+300 to Km10+070 with a length of 1.023 km of the former National Route 8 (that is replaced with another route) to the local road and hand over it to the People’s Committee of Ha Tinh province for operation management and maintenance in accordance with regulations.

Article 2. The Finance Department, the Directorate for Roads of Vietnam are assigned to coordinate with the functional agencies of Ha Tinh province in carrying out the procedures for transferring road infrastructure facility assets in accordance with regulations; organize the handover, solve related problems, ensure the continuous operation management and the traffic on the route.

Article 3. The People’s Committee of Ha Tinh province shall direct the locality’s functional agencies, and coordinate with the Directorate for Roads of Vietnam, to carry out the procedures for transferring road infrastructure facility assets in accordance with regulations; take over the above-mentioned section after a decision on transfer of road infrastructure facility assets is issued.

Article 4. Chairperson of the People’s Committee of Ha Tinh province; Chief of the Office; Directors of Departments of Transport Infrastructure, Planning and Investment, Finance, Traffic Safety, Transportation; Director General of Directorate for Roads of Vietnam; Director of provincial-level Transport Department of Ha Tinh province and heads of related agencies and units shall be responsible for implementing this Decision./.
