DECISION

PERMITTING THE APPLICATION OF 12 RAPID TESTS FOR CHEMICAL CONTAMINATION OF FOOD

THE MINISTER OF HEALTH

Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 49/ 2003/ND-CP of May 15, 2003, defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;

Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 86/ CP of December 8, 1995, assigning the state management of goods quality;

Considering provincial/muniicipal Preventive Medicine Centers' evaluations on rapid tests for food safety- and hygiene and the proposal of the Council for evaluation of Thailand-made rapid test kits for food safety and hygiene at its meeting on August 4, 2004;

At the proposal of the directors of the Science and Training Department, the Legal Department and the Food Safety and Hygiene Department of the Ministry of Health,

DECIDES:

Article 1.- To permit the application of 12 Thailand-made rapid tests for chemical contamination of food (see the list promulgated together with this Decision).

Article 2.-This Decision takes effect 15 days after its publication in "CONG BAO."

Article 3.- To annul the Health Minister's

Decisions No. 1928/2003/QD-BYT of June 6, 2003, and No. 4527/2003/QD-BYT of August 27, 2003.

Article 4.- The directors of the Office, the Science and Training Department, the Legal Department and the Food Safety and Hygiene Department, directors of provincial/municipal Health Services, heads of units under the Ministry of Health and heads of health agencies of branches shall implement this Decision.
