DECISION

APPROVING THE BIDDING RESULTS OF BIDDING PACKAGE No. 1 ON MAIN EQUIPMENT SUPPLY AND TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER FOR MEDIUM-DENSITY FIBERBOARD (MDF) PLANT IN GIA LAI PROVINCE

THE PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government of September 30, 1992;
Pursuant to the Law on Forest Protection and Development of August 19, 1991;
At the proposals of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (Official Dispatch No. 265/BNN-XDCB of January 21, 2000), and the Ministry of Investment and Planning (Official Dispatch No. 687/BKH-VPXT of February 1, 2000),

DECIDES:

Article 1.- To approve the bidding results of the bidding package No. 1 on main equipment supply and technology transfer for the medium-density fiberboard plant in Gia Lai province with the following contents:

- Bidding packages name: Main equipment supply and technology transfer for the medium-density fiberboard plant (MDF) in Gia Lai province.

- Bid winner: Elof Hansson/Sunds Defibrator Corporation (Sweden).

- Bid-winning price: 15,690,000 USD (fifteen million six hundred and ninety thousand US dollars).

- Type of contract: Package contract.

- The contract performance duration: 40 (forty) weeks as from the effective date of the contract.

Article 2.- To assign the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development to approve the contracts on main equipment procurement and technology transfer according to the bidding package results, and to ensure the bidders capacity to satisfy bidding dossiers, especially in term of products quality.

To direct the investor in performing the procurement and technology transfer contracts; to ensure the quality of equipment and machinery as well as the technology transfer strictly according to the construction tempo of the artificial fiberboard plant (MDF) in Gia Lai province, at the same time ensure that the contracts shall be performed in strict accordance with current regulations.

Article 3.- This Decision takes effect after its signing, the Ministers of Agriculture and Rural Development and of Investment and Planning and Finance, the Governor of Vietnam State Bank, the heads of concerned ministries and branches and the president of Gia Lai provincial Peoples Committee shall have to implement this Decision.
