DECISION
ON THE AMENDMENT OF PARAGRAPH 2, ARTICLE 9 OF THE "REGULATION ON THE ORGANIZATION AND OPERATION OF THE FOREIGN CURRENCY INTER-BANK MARKET" ISSUED IN CONJUNCTION WITH DECISION NO. 101/1999/QD-NHNN13 DATED 26 MARCH, 1999 OF THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE BANK
THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE BANK
Pursuant to the Law on the State Bank of Vietnam No. 01/1997/QH10 dated 12 December, 1997 and the Law on the Credit Institutions No. 02/1997/QH10 dated 12 December, 1997;
Pursuant to the Decree No. 15 CP dated 02 March, 1993 of the Government on the assignment, authority and responsibility for the State management of the ministries and ministry-level agencies;
Pursuant to the Decree No. 63/1998/ND-CP dated 17 August, 1998 of the Government on foreign exchange control;
Upon the proposal of the Director of the Monetary Policy Department,
Pursuant to the Decree No. 15 CP dated 02 March, 1993 of the Government on the assignment, authority and responsibility for the State management of the ministries and ministry-level agencies;
Pursuant to the Decree No. 63/1998/ND-CP dated 17 August, 1998 of the Government on foreign exchange control;
Upon the proposal of the Director of the Monetary Policy Department,
DECIDES
Article 1. To amend paragraph 2, Article 9 of the "Regulation on the organisation and operation of the foreign currency inter-bank market" issued in conjunction with Decision No. 101/1999/QD-NHNN13 dated 26 March, 1999 of the Governor of the State Bank as follows:
"The transaction exchange rates between other convertible foreign currencies (other than US$) and VND shall be determined by the General Directors (Directors) of member credit institutions".
Article 2. This Decision shall be effective 15 days from the date of signing.
Article 3. The Director of the Administration Department, the Director of Banking Operations Department, Heads of units of the State Bank, General Managers of the State Bank branches in provinces and cities, Chairman, General Directors (Directors) of credit institutions being members of the foreign currency inter-bank market shall be responsible for the implementation of this Decision.
