THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE
The Circular No. 97/2011/TT-BTC dated July 05, 2011 amending, supplementing the Circular No. 66/2011/TT-BTC dated March 30, 2009, of the Ministry of Finance prescribing the regime on collection, remittance, management and use of fees on passports, visas and papers on entry, exit, transit and residence in Vietnam
Pursuant to the Ordinance on charges and fees;
Pursuant to the Decree No. 57/2002/ND-CP dated June 3, 2002 of the Ministry of Finance detailing the implementation of the ordinance on charges and fees;
On the implementation of the Resolution No. 61/NQ-CP dated December 17, 2010 of the Government on simplifying administrative procedure in the management scope of the Ministry of Public Security;
The Ministry prescribing the regime on collection, remittance, management and use of fees on passports, visas and papers on entry, exit, transit and residence in Vietnam as follows:
Article 1.
1. To supplement sub-clause b to the clause 2, section 1 of the Table of fees on passports, visas and papers on entry, exit, transit and residence in Vietnam attached to the Finance Ministry's Circular No. 66/2009/TT-BTC of March 30, 2009 of the Ministry of Finance as follow:
d/ For travel or go business by Vietnamese inhabitants to China’s Vietnam-bordering provinces and cities: 50.000 VND
2. To amend, supplement clause 3, Article 1 of the Circular No. 66/2009/TT-BTC as follows:
“Immigration fees are specified in the fee table attached to this Circular, the calculation unit is 01 passport, 01 visa, papers on entry, exit, transit and residence in Vietnam”.
Article 2.
1. This Circular takes effect on September 01, 2011.
2. Other relevant contents to fees on passports, visas and papers on entry, exit, transit and residence in Vietnam shall be implemented in accordance with regulations on the Circular 66/2009/TT-BTC dated March 30, 2009, of the Ministry of Finance prescribing the regime on collection, remittance, management and use of fees on passports, visas and papers on entry, exit, transit and residence in Vietnam.
3. Organizations, individuals in fee payers or relevant agencies shall implement this Circular. On the implementation process, organizations and individuals can reflect to the Ministry of Finance timely if having any problems or proposals for consideration and guidance./.

Fees for supplementation or modification of passports or laissez-passers equal 25% of the respective levels.
