CIRCULAR

ON AMENDING CLAUSE 2 ARTICLE 18 OF THE CIRCULAR NO. 02/2014/TT-BNNPTNT DATED JANUARY 24, 2014 OF THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT ON ORDER AND PROCERURE FOR ISSUANCE, REVOCATION OF CERTIFICATE OF GENETICALLY MODIFIED PLANT ELIGIBLE FOR MAKING HUMAN FOOD, ANIMAL FEED

Pursuant to the Government s Decree No. 199/2013/ND-CP of November 26, 2013, defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;

Pursuant to the Government s Decree No. 69/2010/ND-CP of June 21, 2010, on biosafety for genetically modified organisms, genetic specimens and products of genetically modified organisms;

Pursuant to the Government s Decree No. 108/2011/ND-CP of November 30, 2011, amending Decree No. 69/2010/ND-CP, on biological safety of genetically modified organisms, genetic specimens of genetically modified organisms;

Pursuant to the Government s Decree No. 38/2012/ND-CP dated April 25, 2012, detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law of Food safety;

At the proposal of the Director of the Science, Technology and Environmen Department;

The Ministry Of Agriculture And Rural Development hereby promulgates the Circular on amending Clause 2 Article 18 of the Circular No. 02/2014/TT-BNNPTNT dated January 24, 2014 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on order and procerure for issuance, revocation of certificate of genetically modified plant eligible for making human food, animal feed.

Article 1. To amend Clause 2 Article 18  as  follow:

“2. Genetically modified events must be submitted  dossier to apply for issuance of certificates before continuing to use as human food or animal  feed in the territory of Vietnam no later than March 10, 2016;

Article 2. Implementation provisions

1. This Circular takes effect from March 31, 2015.

2. Any difficulties or problems arising in the course of implementation should be promptly reported to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for consideration and settlement.
