To import 59,098 tons of material tobacco in 2020
On January 14, 2020, the Minister of Industry and Trade promulgates the Circular No. 01/2020/TT-BCT prescribing the import of material tobacco under the 2020 tariff quota.
Accordingly, the volume of material tobacco to be imported under the 2020 tariff quota is 59,098 tons.

CIRCULAR
Prescribing the import of raw tobacco under the tariff quota for 2020[1]
Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 98/2017/ND-CP of August 18, 2017, defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Industry and Trade;
Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 69/2018/ND-CP of May 15, 2018, detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management;
At the proposal of the Director General of the Agency of Foreign Trade,
The Minister of Industry and Trade promulgates the Circular prescribing the import of raw tobacco under the tariff quota for 2020.
Article 1. Import quotas of 2020
The volume of raw tobacco (HS code 2401) imported under the tariff quota for 2020 is 59,098 tons.
Article 2. Subjects and method of allocating import tariff quotas
The allocation of tariff quotas on imported raw tobacco must comply with the Government’s Decree No. 69/2018/ND-CP of May 15, 2018, detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Circular No. 12/2018/TT-BCT of June 15, 2018, detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management.
Article 3. Effect
This Circular takes effect on February 29, 2020, through December 31, 2020.-
