This is the content prescribed in the Decree No. 109/2024/ND-CP on prescribing registration fee rates for automobiles, trailers or semi-trailers pulled by automobiles and vehicles like domestically manufactured and assembled automobiles.
Accordingly, from September 1, 2024, to the end of November 30, 2024, the registration fee rates equal 50% of those prescribed in the Government’s Decree No. 10/2022/ND-CP dated January 15, 2022, on the registration fee.
Current resolutions of provincial-level People’s Councils or decisions of provincial-level People’s Committees on registration fee rates applied in localities; and amending, supplementing or replacing documents (if any).
From January 1, 2024, onward, the registration fee rates must continue to comply with the Government’s Decree No. 10/2022/ND-CP dated January 15, 2022, on registration fees; current resolutions of provincial-level People’s Councils or decisions of provincial-level People’s Committees on registration fee rates applied in localities; and amending, supplementing or replacing documents (if any).
This Circular takes effect from September 1, 2024, to the end of November 30, 2024.
By the Ministry of Finance, the reduction of 50% registration fee rates for domestically manufactured and assembled automobiles shall have positive impacts as financial support and encouragement of consumption to consumers.
The average state budget revenue from registration fee rates is planned to be reduced by VND 867 billion/month (equivalent to the rate prescribed in Decree No. 41/2023/ND-CP).
The Decree No. 109/2024/ND-CP is issued on August 29, 2024.
