DECREE

Prescribing registration fee rates applicable to domestically manufactured and assembled automobiles, trailers or semi-trailers pulled by automobiles and vehicles similar to automobiles

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated June 19, 2015; the Law Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Law on Organization of the Government and the Law on Organization of Local Administration dated November 22, 2019;

Pursuant to the Law on Charges and Fees dated November 25, 2015;

At the proposal of the Minister of Finance;

The Government hereby promulgates the Decree prescribing registration fee rates applicable to domestically manufactured and assembled automobiles, trailers or semi-trailers pulled by automobiles and vehicles similar to automobiles.

Article 1. First-time registration fee rates applicable to domestically manufactured and assembled automobiles, trailers or semi-trailers pulled by automobiles and vehicles similar to automobiles

1. From the effective date of this Decree to the end of November 30, 2024: The registration fee rates are equal to 50% of those prescribed in the Government’s Decree No. 10/2022/ND-CP dated January 15, 2022, on registration fee; current resolutions of provincial-level People’s Councils or decisions of provincial-level People’s Committees on registration fee rates applied in localities; and amending, supplementing or replacing documents (if any).

2. From January 1, 2024, onward: The registration fee rates must continue to comply with the Government’s Decree No. 10/2022/ND-CP dated January 15, 2022, on registration fee; current resolutions of provincial-level People’s Councils or decisions of provincial-level People’s Committees on registration fee rates applied in localities; and amending, supplementing or replacing documents (if any).

Article 2. Effect

1. This Circular takes effect from September 1, 2024, to the end of November 30, 2024.

2. Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, heads of government-attached agencies, chairpersons of People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities, and related organizations and individuals shall implement this Decree.
