Prescribing the import tariff quotas for salt and poultry eggs in 2025

Pursuant to the Law on Foreign Trade Management dated June 6, 2017;

Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 96/2022/ND-CP dated  November  29, 2022, defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; the Government’s Decree No. 105/2024/ND-CP dated August 01, 2024, amending, supplementing a number of articles of the Government’s Decree No. 96/2022/ND- dated  November  29, 2022, defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; and  the Government’s Decree No. 26/2018/ND-CP dated February 28, 2018 on Charter of organization and operation of Vietnam Electricity Group;

Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 69/2018/ND-CP dated May 15, 2018, detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management;

Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 26/2023/ND-CP dated May 31, 2023 on the Export Tariff Schedule, Preferential Import Tariff Schedule, and List of commodities and their absolute, mixed and out-of-quota import duty rates; the Government’s Decree No. 144/2024/ND-CP November 01, 2024 , amending, supplementing a number of articles of the Government’s Decree No. 26/2023/NĐ-CP dated May 31, 2023 on the Export Tariff Schedule, Preferential Import Tariff Schedule, and List of commodities and their absolute, mixed and out-of-quota import duty rates;

At the proposal of the Director General of Agency of Foreign Trade;

The Minister of Industry and Trade promulgates the Circular prescribing the import tariff quotas for salt and poultry eggs in 2025.

Article 1. The amount of import tariff quota for salt and poultry eggs in 2025

Article 2. Method of allocating import tariff quotas for salt and poultry eggs in 2025

The import tariff quota for salt and poultry eggs in 2025 shall be allocated in accordance with the method prescribed in Article 9 of the Government’s Decree No. 69/2018/ND-CP dated May 15, 2018, detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management and Article 15 of the Minister of Industry and Trade’s Circular No. 12/2018/TT-BCT dated June 15, 2018, detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management and the Government’s Decree No. 69/2018/ND-CP dated May 15, 2018, detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management.

Article 3. Subjects of allocation of import tariff quotas for salt and poultry eggs in 2025

1. Import tariff quotas for salt shall be allocated to traders who directly use it as materials for the production of medicines, medical products and as materials for the production of chemicals.

2. Import tariff quotas for poultry eggs shall be allocated to traders with import needs.

Article 4. Starting time for allocating import tariff quotas for salt and poultry eggs in 2025

1. The starting time for allocating import tariff quotas for salt as materials for the production of medicines and medical products in 2025 shall be from the effective date of this Circular.

2. The Ministry of Industry and Trade shall discuss with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to determine the starting time for allocating import tariff quotas for salt as materials for the production of chemicals and import tariff quotas for poultry eggs in 2025.

Article 5. Effect

This Circular takes effect on March 02, 2025 through December 31, 2025./.
