                      CIRCULAR

Ceasing the effect of Clauses 1 and 4, Article 15 of the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment’s Circular No. 01/2022/TT-BTNMT of January 7, 2022, detailing the implementation of the Law on Environmental Protection regarding climate change response

Pursuant to the June 22, 2015 Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents; and the June 18, 2020 Law Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents;

Pursuant to the November 17, 2020 Law on Environmental Protection;

Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 06/2022/ND-CP of January 7, 2022, providing the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and protection of the ozone layer;

Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 68/2022/ND-CP of September 22, 2022, defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment;

At the proposal of the Director of the Department of Climate Change;

The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment promulgates the Circular ceasing the effect of Clauses 1 and 4, Article 15 of the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment’s Circular No. 01/2022/TT-BTNMT of January 7, 2022, detailing the implementation of the Law on Environmental Protection regarding climate change response.

Article 1. Cessation of the effect

To cease the effect of Clauses 1 and 4, Article 15 of the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment’s Circular No. 01/2022/TT-BTNMT of January 7, 2022, detailing the implementation of the Law on Environmental Protection regarding climate change response (which was amended under Points a and b, Clause 2, Article 1 of the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment’s Circular No. 19/2023/TT-BTNMT of November 15, 2023, amending and annulling a number of circulars promulgated by the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment).

Article 2. Effect

1. This Circular takes effect on the date of its signing.

2. The period of cessation of the effect of the contents specified in Article 1 of this Circular shall be counted from the effective date of this Circular to the effective date of a new legal document regulating such contents.

Article 3. Organization of implementation  

1. The Director of the Department of Climate Change shall guide and organize the implementation of this Circular.

2. Provincial-level People’s Committees, provincial-level Departments of Natural Resources and Environment; heads of units under related ministries and sectors, and related organizations and individuals shall implement this Circular.-
