RESOLUTION
On extension of the effect of the Government’s Decree No. 72/2026/ND-CP dated March 09, 2026, adjusting the preferential import duty rates applicable to a number of petroleum products and raw materials for petroleum production in the Preferential Import Tariff Schedule promulgated together with the Government’s Decree No. 26/2023/ND-CP dated May 31, 2023, on the Export Tariff Schedule, Preferential Import Tariff Schedule, and List of commodities and their absolute, mixed and out-of-quota import duty rates, and preferential import duty rates applicable to a number of raw materials for petroleum production
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government No. 63/2025/QH15;
Pursuant to the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents No. 64/2025/QH15, which was amended and supplemented under Law No. 87/2025/QH15;
Pursuant to the Law on Import Duty and Export Duty No. 107/2016/QH13;
Pursuant to the National Assembly’s Resolution No. 71/2006/QH11, ratifying the Protocol of Accession of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organization;
At the proposal of the Minister of Finance;
The Government hereby promulgates the Decree on extension of the effect of the Government’s Decree No. 72/2026/ND-CP dated March 09, 2026, adjusting the preferential import duty rates applicable to a number of petroleum products and raw materials for petroleum production in the Preferential Import Tariff Schedule promulgated together with the Government’s Decree No. 26/2023/ND-CP dated May 31, 2023, on the Export Tariff Schedule, Preferential Import Tariff Schedule, and List of commodities and their absolute, mixed and out-of-quota import duty rates, and preferential import duty rates applicable to a number of raw materials for petroleum production.
Article 1. Extension of the effect of the Government’s Decree No. 72/2026/ND-CP dated March 09, 2026, adjusting the preferential import duty rates applicable to a number of petroleum products and raw materials for petroleum production in the Preferential Import Tariff Schedule promulgated together with the Government’s Decree No. 26/2023/ND-CP dated May 31, 2023, on the Export Tariff Schedule, Preferential Import Tariff Schedule, and List of commodities and their absolute, mixed and out-of-quota import duty rates
To extend the effect of Decree No. 72/2026/ND-CP until the end of June 30, 2026.
Article 2. Preferential import duty rates applicable to a number of raw materials for petroleum production
The preferential import duty rates applicable to a number of raw materials for petroleum production under headings 2710.19.20 (topped crudes); 2710.19.89 (other medium oils and preparations) and 2711.19.00 (other) shall be 0%.
Article 3. Effect
1. This Resolution takes effect from May 01, 2026, to the end of June 30, 2026. From July 01, 2026, the preferential import duty rates applicable to petroleum products and raw materials for petroleum production specified in Article 2 of this Resolution and Decree No. 72/2026/ND-CP shall comply with the Government's Decree No. 26/2023/ND-CP dated May 31, 2023, on the Export Tariff Schedule, Preferential Import Tariff Schedule, and List of commodities and their absolute, mixed and out-of-quota import duty rates.
2. During the effective period of this Resolution, in case of any inconsistency between the provisions of this Resolution and Decree No. 26/2023/ND-CP and Decrees amending and supplementing Decree No. 26/2023/ND-CP (if any) regarding the preferential import duty rates applicable to petroleum products and raw materials for petroleum production specified in Article 2 of this Resolution and Decree No. 72/2026/ND-CP, the provisions of this Resolution shall prevail.
3. Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, chairpersons of People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities, and related organizations and individuals shall implement this Resolution./.
