On answering the Official Dispatch No. 445/HQCT-NV dated March 18. 2013 of the General Department of Customs on preferential sector for investment, the General Department of Customs has opinions as follows:
In accordance with regulations at point 14, section II, Part A, Appendix 1 on Lists of sectors eligible for import duty incentives attached with the Decree No. 87/2010/ND-CP dated August 13, 2010 of the Government, the project “Collection and treatment of wastewater, exhaust gas and solid wastes; recycling and reuse of wastes” is on specially preferential sector for investment.
In the case that Novotech – Trung Hung Limited Company invests in the project of producing particleboard from betel material which is not suitable with the sector “Collection and treatment of wastewater, exhaust gas and solid wastes; recycling and reuse of wastes” in accordance with the regulation at point 14, section II, Part A, Appendix 1 on Lists of sectors eligible for import duty incentives attached with the Decree No. 87/2010/ND-CP dated August 13, 2010 of the Government, so it has no priority on import duty incentives.
The General Department of Customs informs the Department of Customs of Can Tho for acknowledgement and implementation./.
