From July 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026, the State Bank of Vietnam will apply new lending interest rates under the loan program for social housing, worker housing, housing for the people's armed forces, and projects for renovation and reconstruction of old apartment buildings in accordance with Resolution No. 33/NQ-CP.
According to Official Dispatch No. 5341/NHNN-CSTT, the lending interest rates applied by commercial banks to loans under the Program are as follows:
- 6.5% per annum for borrowers purchasing homes under social housing projects, worker accommodation projects in industrial parks, and housing projects for the people's armed forces;
- 7.0% per annum for borrowers that are developers of social housing projects, worker accommodation projects in industrial parks, housing projects for the people's armed forces, and projects for the renovation and reconstruction of old apartment buildings.
These interest rates apply to the outstanding balances of eligible loans during the period from July 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026, as part of the continued implementation of the lending program under the Government's Resolution No. 33/NQ-CP and the guidance of the State Bank of Vietnam.
Along with announcing the lending rates, the State Bank of Vietnam also confirmed that the following nine commercial banks will continue participating in the Program: the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank), Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank), Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank), TPBank, Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank (VPBank), Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB), Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank), and Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (HDBank).
