Persons entering China must get PCR Covid-19 test

On January 17, 2022, the Consular Department issues the Official Dispatch No. 186/LS-QHLS regarding PCR test requirement applicable to persons entering China.

Chinese Embassy has sent a Diplomatic note of January 16, 2023, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which notifies that from January 17, 2023, persons entering China must have a negative PCR test certificate issued within 48 hours before departure.

Such a certificate must clearly state the name, date of birth and a serial number of the certificate holder’s personal papers. Electronic PCR test certificates must be printed and brought along with the persons on entry. Languages used in such certificates must be Vietnamese, Chinese or English.

At the same time, the use of face masks during the flight is required.

Airlines organizing flights to China shall check the passengers’ negative PCR test certificates, and Chinese customs offices shall conduct an on-site inspection upon the passengers’ entry, depending on the situation.
