List of scraps of which temporary import for re-export or border-gate transfer is suspended

On October 08, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Circular No. 18/2024/TT-BCT promulgating the list of scraps for which temporary import for re-export or border-gate transfer is suspended.

Accordingly, this List is formulated based on the List of Vietnam’s exports and imports promulgated together with the Ministry of Finance’s Circular No. 31/2022/TT-BTC dated June 8, 2022, promulgation of the List of Vietnam’s exports and imports, including:

Heading 2520: Gypsum; anhydrite; plasters (consisting of calcined gypsum or calcium sulphate) whether or not colored, with or without small quantities of accelerators or retarders.

Heading 2618: Granulated slag (slag sand) from the manufacture of iron or steel.

List of scraps of which temporary import

Heading 2619: Slag, dross (other than granulated slag), scaling, and other waste from the manufacture of iron or steel.

Heading 2620: Ash and residues (other than from the manufacture of iron or steel), containing arsenic, metals or their compounds.

Heading 3818: Chemical elements doped for use in electronics, in the form of discs, wafers or similar forms; chemical compounds doped for use in electronics.

Heading 3919: Self-adhesive plates, sheets, film, foil, tape, strip and other flat shapes, of plastics, whether or not in rolls.

Heading 3920: Other plates, sheets, film, foil and strip, of plastics, non- cellular and not reinforced, laminated, supported or similarly combined with other materials.

Heading 3921: Other plates, sheets, film, foil and strip, of plastics.

Heading 3923: Of polymers of ethylene:

Heading 4707: Recovered (waste and scrap) paper or paperboard.

This Circular takes effect on January 01, 2025.
