Increase time of driving practice on road from June 15

On April 22, 2022, the Ministry of Transport issues the Circular No. 04/2022/TT-BGTVT on amending and supplementing a number of Articles of the Circular No. 12/2017/TT-BGTVT on driver training, driving tests, and issuance of driving licenses.

Accordingly, the program of practicing driving program has some changes as follows:

- For B1 Class (Vehicles with automatic transmission) Decrease the number of hours of practicing driving on training yard from 45 hours to 41 hours and increase the number of hours of practicing driving on road from 20 hours to 24 hours.

- For B1 Class (Vehicles with manual transmission), B2 class: Decrease the number of hours of practicing driving on training yard from 45 hours to 41 hours and increase the number of hours of practicing driving on road from 36 hours to 40 hours.

- For C Class Decrease the number of hours of practicing driving on training yard from 46 hours to 43 hours and increase the number of hours of practicing driving on road from 45 hours to 48 hours.

Besides, the new regulation also allows the training establishment to lengthen the time for equipping facilities and using simulator cabins for practicing driving to December 31, 2022 instead of July o1, 2022 in previous regulations.

This Circular takes effect on June 15, 2022.
