On August 15, 2022, the Government issues the Resolution No. 104/NQ-CP on the route to increasing the number of vaccines in the Expanded Immunization Program for the period of 2021 - 2030.
Accordingly, the Government agree to increase the number of vaccines in the Expanded Immunization Program for the period of 2021 - 2030:
- A rotavirus vaccine, a vaccine against pneumococcal disease, a vaccine against cervical cancer, and a vaccine against seasonal flu will be put on the route from 2022, 2025, 2026, and 2030, respectively.
- In the case of mobilizing domestic aid and support, or being provided with the State budget supplemented, the Ministry of Health shall decide whether this route can be implemented sooner.
Besides, the Government also allow provinces and centrally-run cities capable of balancing the local budget to purchase vaccines against cervical cancer if they can access preferential prices for at-risk groups other than those entitled to the Expanded Immunization to encourage people to participate in preventive vaccination.
The State budget must ensure funding for the purchase of vaccines according to the route. The local budget shall allocate funding to organize the implementation of vaccination in the locality.

The source that is paid voluntarily by organizations and individuals using vaccines.
This Resolution takes effect on August 15, 2022.
