E10 biofuel has already been piloted by the two largest fuel distributors, Petrolimex and PV Oil, since August 1 in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Hai Phong.
Vietnam plans to use E10 biofuel nationwide starting June 2026, as outlined in a new circular issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).

The MoIT may modify the blending ratios and introduce new types of gasoline products as needed to ensure energy security, achieve environmental goals, and protect consumer rights.
It is worth noting that the use of biodiesel B5 and B10 is not mandatory for diesel engines at this time.
