Weapons manufactured manually and not up to technical standards shall be considered as military-use weapons
According to regulation in the Law No. 14/2017/QH14 on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosive Materials and Support Tools, military-use weapons are weapons manufactured and produced up to technical standards and according to designs of lawful manufacturers, which are equipped for the people’s armed forces and other forces in accordance with this Law for the performance of their official duties.
However, the new regulation states that weapons manufactured or produced manually or industrially, not up to technical standards and not according to designs of lawful manufacturers and are capable of causing casualties, harming human life and health and destroying physical structures like the weapons specified at Point a of this Clause, which are not equipped for the people’s armed forces and other forces specified in Article 18 of this Law for the performance of their official duties also considered as military-use weapons.
In addition, this Law also amends that on weapons with functions and utilities similar to those of hunting rifles, rudimentary weapons or sports weapons means weapons manufactured or produced manually or industrially not up to technical standards and not according to designs of lawful manufacturers and are capable of causing casualties, harming human life and health and destroying physical structures like hunting rifles, rudimentary weapons or sports weapons.
