DECREE

ON THE ORGANIZATION OF THE VIETNAM OIL AND GAS CORPORATION

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government on the 30th of September 1992;

Pursuant to the Law on State Enterprises on the 20th of April 1995;

At the proposal of the Minister-Chairman of the Government Commission on Organization and Personnel,

DECREES:

Article 1.- To detach the Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation from the Government.

The Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation shall stop implementing the tasks of State management regarding oil and gas stipulated in Decree No.9-CP on the 4th of February 1993 of the Government.

Article 2.- The Prime Minister shall decide the re-organization of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation.

Article 3.- This Decree takes effect from the date of its promulgation. Decree No.9-CP on the 4th of February of 1993 of the Government is repealed.

Article 4.- The Ministers, the Heads of the ministerial-level agencies, the Heads of the agencies attached to the Government, the Presidents of the People's Committees of the provinces and cities directly under the Central Government, the General Director of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation shall have to implement this Decree.
