DECREE

AMENDING ARTICLE 5 OF DECREE No.30/CP OF MAY 9, 1996 OF THE GOVERNMENT PROMULGATING THE REGULATION ON ISSUANCE AND USE OF CHECKS

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government of September 30th, 1992;

Pursuant to the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents of November 23rd, 1996;

At the proposal of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam,

DECREES:

Article 1.- To amend Article 5 of the Regulation on Issuance and Use of Checks, issued together with Decree No. 30/CP of May 9th, 1996 of the Government as follows:

The time limits defined in this Regulation include weekends and public holidays. If the ending day of the time limit falls on weekend or public holiday, the time limit shall be prolonged to the working day after such weekend or public holiday.

Article 2.- This Decree takes effect 15 days after its signing.

Article 3.- The Governor of State Bank of Vietnam shall have to guide and organize the implementation of this Decree.

The ministers, the heads of ministerial-level agencies, the heads of agencies attached to the Government, the presidents of the People’ Committees of the provinces and centrally-run cities shall have to implement this Decree.
