DECREE
Amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Government’s Decree No. 07/2017/ND-CP of January 25, 2017, prescribing the order and procedures for pilot grant of e-visas for foreigners entering Vietnam[1]
Pursuant to the June 19, 2015 Law on Organization of the Government;
Pursuant to the June 22, 2015 Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents;
Pursuant to the June 16, 2014 Law on Foreigners’ Entry into, Exit from, Transit through, and Residence in Vietnam;
Pursuant to the November 29, 2005 Law on E-Transactions;
Pursuant to the June 29, 2006 Law on Information Technology;
Pursuant to Resolution No. 30/2016/QH14 of November 22, 2016, on the pilot grant of e-visas for foreigners entering Vietnam;
Pursuant to Resolution No. 74/2018/QH14 of November 20, 2018, on the sixth session of the XIVthNational Assembly;
At the proposal of the Minister of Public Security,
The Government promulgates the Decree amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Government’s Decree No. 07/2017/ND-CP of January 25, 2017, prescribing the order and procedures for pilot grant of e-visas for foreigners entering Vietnam.
Article 1.To amend and supplement a number of articles of the Government’s Decree No. 07/2017/ND-CP of January 25, 2017, prescribing the order and procedures for pilot grant of e-visas for foreigners entering Vietnam
1. To amend and supplement the list of countries whose citizens are eligible for pilot grant of e-visas (Appendix I) and the list of border gates permitting foreigners’ entry into and exit from Vietnam with e-visas (Appendix II) provided in Clause 1 of Article 9 as follows:
a/ To amend and supplement the list of countries whose citizens are eligible for pilot grant of e-visas, including:

b/ To add the following border gates which permit foreigners’ entry into and exit from Vietnam with e-visas (Appendix II):
- List of land border gates:
+ Tay Trang international border gate (Dien Bien province);
+ Na Meo international border gate (Thanh Hoa province);
+ La Lay international border gate (Quang Tri province);
- List of seaway border gates:
+ Duong Dong port border gate (Kien Giang province);
+ Chan May port border gate (Thua Thien - Hue province).
2. To amend Article 11 as follows:
“Article 11. Effect
This Decree takes effect from February 1, 2017, through February 1, 2021.”
Article 2.Effect and implementation responsibility
1. This Decree is effective for two years from February 1, 2019.
2. Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, heads of government-attached agencies and chairpersons of provincial-level People’s Committees shall implement this Decree.-
