DECISION

ON ESTABLISHING ORGANIZATION ATTACHED TO VIETNAM TELEVISION

THE PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government on the 30th of September 1992;

Pursuant to Decree No. 52-CP on the 16th of August 1993, of the Government on the functions, tasks, powers and organization of Vietnam Television;

At the proposals of the General Director of Vietnam Television and the Minister-Chairman of the Government Commission on Organization and Personnel,

DECIDES:

Article 1.- To reorganize the following units directly attached to Vietnam Television:

1. To establish the Specialized Editorial Board on the basis of the Specialized Editorial Section of the Current News Department.

2. To incorporate the Foreign Service Department into the Current News Department and the new unit is named the Current News Department.

3. To establish the Research Center for Application of Television Science in Ho Chi Minh City on the basis of the reorganization of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Radio and Television.

The functions, tasks and organizations of the above-mentioned units shall be decided by the General Director of Vietnam Television after consulting the Government Commission for Organization and Personnel.

Article 2.- This Decision takes effect from the date of its issue. The previous provisions which are contrary to this Decision are now annulled.

Article 3.- The General Director of Vietnam Television, the Ministers, the Heads of agencies at ministerial level, the Heads of agencies attached to the Government and the Presidents of the People's Committees of provinces and cities directly under the Central Government are responsible for the implementation of this Decision.
