DECISION
ON UPGRADING THE HANOI INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL OF CULTURE AND ARTS INTO THE HANOI ARTS COLLEGE
THE PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government of September 30, 1992;
Pursuant to Decree No.90-CP of November 24, 1993 of the Government providing for the framework structure of the national educational system of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam;
Pursuant to Decree No.15-CP of March 2, 1992 of the Government on the tasks, powers and State management responsibility of the Ministries and ministerial-level Agencies;
At the proposals of the Minister of Education and Training, the Minister of Culture and Information, and the President of the Hanoi People's Committee,
DECIDES:
Article 1.- To upgrade the Hanoi Intermediate School of Culture and Arts into the Hanoi Arts College.
Article 2.- The Hanoi Arts College shall have the tasks of training and fostering students of arts at college-level; conducting scientific researches in the fields of arts in service of the development of culture and arts in the capital city.
The Hanoi Arts College is placed under the Hanoi City People's Committee and in the general system of State schools.
Article 3.- The Hanoi Arts College shall be entitled to enjoy policies and regulations issued by the Government regarding the system of universities and colleges.
Article 4.- This Decision takes effect from the date of its signing.
Article 5.- The Ministers, the Heads of the ministerial-level agencies, the Heads of agencies attached to the Government, the Presidents of the People's Committees of the provinces and cities directly under the Central Government shall be responsible for the implementation of this Decision.
