DECISION

ON THE AMENDMENT OF SOME POINTS OF THE CIRCULAR NO. 02/2000/TT-NHNN7 DATE 24 FEBRUARY, 2000 GUIDING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE DECISION NO.170/1999/QD-TTG DATED 19 AUGUST, 1999 OF THE PRIME MINISTER

THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE BANK

Pursuant to the Law on the State Bank of Vietnam No. 01/1997/QH10 dated 12 December, 1997 and the Law on Credit Institutions dated 12 December, 1997;
Pursuant to the Decree No. 15/CP dated 02 March, 1993 of the Government on the assignment, authority and responsibility for the State management of the ministries and ministry-level agencies;
Pursuant to the Decision No. 170/1999/QD-TTg dated 19 August, 1999 of the Prime Minister on the encouragement of the foreign currency remittance by Vietnamese living abroad;
Upon the proposal of the Director of the Foreign Exchange Control Department,

DECIDES

Article 1. To amend point 2.2, paragraph 2, Section II of the Circular No. 02/2000/TT-NHNN7 dated 24 February, 2000 of the State Bank guiding the implementation of the Decision No. 170/1999/QD-TTg dated 19 August, 1999 of the Prime Minister on the encouragement of the foreign currency remittance by Vietnamese living abroad as follows:

1. To replace the pro-forma application form for the provision of the service of receiving and payment in foreign currency (Appendix I) in point a with the pro-forma application form in the Appendix attached to this Decision.

2. To delete the phrase management agency in point e and to read as Opinion of the State Bank branches in provinces, cities under the central management in the same location on the services of receiving and payment of foreign currency to be provided by the economic organizations.

Article 2. This Decision shall be effective after 15 days from the date of signing.

Article 3. The Director of the Administration Department, the Chief Inspector of the State Bank, Heads of relevant units of the State Bank, General Managers of the State Bank branches in provinces, cities under the central management, General Directors (Directors) of credit institutions authorized to engage in foreign exchange activities, General Directors (Directors) of economic organizations permitted to provide the service of receiving and payment in foreign currency shall, within their functions, be responsible for the implementation of this Decision.
