DECISION
APPROVING THE MASTER PLAN FOR APPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM IN THE PERIOD 1995-2010
THE PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government on the 30th of September 1992,
Considering the Presentation Paper No.377-TCDL on the 24th of April 1995 of the Vietnam General Department of Tourism,

DECIDES:
Article 1.- To approve the "Master Plan for Comprehensive Development of Vietnamese Tourism in the Period 1995-2010" No.377-TCDL on the 24th of April 1995 submitted by the Vietnam General Department of Tourism.
Article 2.- Proceeding from the socio-economic development strategic tasks, the policies of the Party and the State, and the conditions, characteristics and tourist potential of each area and locality, the Ministers, the Heads of the ministerial-level agencies, the Heads of the agencies attached to the Government, the Presidents of the People's Committees of the provinces and cities directly under the Central Government, within their respective jurisdiction, shall organize and deploy the "Master plan for Comprehensive Development of Vietnamese Tourism in the Period 1995-2010" during the long-term plans, five-year plans and annual plans, as well as the specific plans for tourist development.
Article 3.- To assign the General Director of the General Department of Tourism to preside over and coordinate with the Chairman of the State Planning Committee, the Minister of Construction, the Minister of Communications and Transport, the Minister of Culture and Information, and specialized branches and agencies to assist the Prime Minister in guiding the planning and development of tourism in conformity with the socio-economic development strategy of each province and locality, especially localities with tourist centers and major tourist areas, such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Hue, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh province, in a unified manner in the whole country.
Article 4.- The Ministers, the Heads of the ministerial-level agencies, the Heads of the agencies attached to the Government, the Presidents of the People's Committees of the provinces and cities directly under the Central Government shall have to implement this Decision.
