DECISION

SUSPENDING AUTOMATIC EXPORT LICENSING FOR IRON AND STEEL

THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE

Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 189/ 2007/ND-CP of December27,2007, defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Industry and Trade;
Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 12/ 2006/ND-CP of January 23, 2006, detailing the implementation of the Commercial Law regarding international goods trading and goods trading agency, processing and transit with foreign parties;
Pursuant to the Finance Minister's Decision No. 64/2008/QD-BTC of August 1, 2008. amending export tax rates for some non-alloy iron and steel commodities in the Export Tariff;
At the proposal of the director of the Import and Export Department,

DECIDES:

Article 1.- To suspend automatic export licensing for domestically manufactured and imported iron and steel with HS codes in Chapter 72 in the Export Tariff and the Preferential Import Tariff, promulgated together with the Finance Minister's Decision No. 106/2007/QD-BTC of December 20,2007.

Iron and steel exporters are not required to apply for automatic export licensing for their exported goods lots.

Article 2.- This Decision takes effect 15 days after its publication in "CONG BAOr"

Article 3.-The Import and Export Department and units under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, traders and concerned agencies shall implement this Decision.
